NEWS (Last Updated 4.3.2020)

The Cutter Gallery closed its doors in August of 2019. I had been with them for 16 years. It was my hometown gallery and I had a great time being there with such amazing people in Sally and Glenn Cutter and the gallery staff. Now I am in a new gallery in my hometown and would like to let you know about this new place to hang my brushes and my paintings.

Trails End Gallery & Studios is Las Cruces's newest fine art gallery. It is located at 1732 N. Mesquite, Las Cruces, NM. Hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10-4 and Saturday, 10-3. Phone: 575.649.2951 Visitors and patrons are welcome during the hours and by appointment. The gallery is divided into two parts, 7 studios for artist (I have one there, so come and see me) on one side and a 5 room gallery with mostly local artists and a few out of the area as well. I hope to have this place become as much as a success for me and the other artist as the Cutter Gallery had been for 16 years.

This painting "Canyon Snows" won First Prize for Watercolor in the Artists Magazines Annual Art Competition in 2018. It appeared in the January/February 2019issue, on page 58.

I was so thrilled to be this years winner in the competition. A great honor for me and my painting.

WFWS was held in Las Vegas this past year, and I just received signature membership in that group. This year the Western Fed show is in the Dallas, Ft. Worth area and "View off Baylor Canyon Road" was judged into the show. I have won an award, but since the show isn't open yet I do not know that award yet. I will post later.

Art Journey America, Landscapes

This book is now available from North Light Books. I am thrilled to have been included in this wonderful book. My painting, "Horseshoe Bend" can be found on pages 84-85.

Something I am trying to get to know better is acrylic painting. Here are a few of my latest attempts.

Zion Reflection | acrylic on canvas | 40 x 30
This is a large painting (40 x 30). Acrylic on canvas titled Zion Reflections. I  intend on doing a giclee print of this piece, so it will be my first that is made for canvas. I'm pretty happy with this piece, and hope I can do others that are successful as well.

Here are two pieces that are new as well. They are Golden Light, Acrylic on Canvas, 24 x 24 and Monument Vista, Acrylic on Canvas, 22 x 28.
